Tattoos are permanently inked into your life once you gather the wits to get it done; that is what adds to its charms- the permanence in its beauty. But not every tattoo story proceeds happily. There are numerous instances where the significance of the design either shifts, or simply ceases to exist, but the tattoo keeps on remaining as a bad memory, or a reminder of the times one would rather forget.
Laser removal of tattoos is one way to go if one wants to get rid of unwanted tattoo(s) with no trace of it left; but this laser treatment is EXPENSIVE, along with being very painful as well. But if you have another design in mind, or don’t mind a new tattoo in place of the previous one, cover-up is the way to go, people.
Cover-up tattoos give you the opportunity to rewrite your ‘tattoo history’, and flaunt a better tattoo to show for it! These cover ups are larger in size-three times larger than that of the original one- because they need to cover up the entire area of the previous tattoo, and hence require longer; so one will need a lot of patience to get these done perfectly, but it will all be worth it in the end.
There are colour restrictions for cover-up tattoos, because the colors used will have to be able to cover the traces of the previous tattoo well; for example, cool hues like green and blue work quite well with most of the cover-up tattoo designs. Cover-ups work like any other regular tattoos- the only difference is that instead of inking virgin skin, the ink will be reviving new life into your skin.
Also, it will cost you a little more than the regular tattoos, but a lot less than laser removal, given the fact that cover-ups are larger in size and need a lot of intricate works and details; however they cause you the same amount of pain involved. Cover-ups will save you a lot of money, as well as a lot of pain compared to the laser procedure, but do make sure you visit a professional artist who knows what he is doing.
